October 1 - 2:  Shepherd Press, Rejuvenating the Gospel in Your Marriage and Family will be held at The Hilton in Harrisburg PA.  Keynote Speakers are Dr. Dave Harvey and Dr. Tedd Tripp.  Saturday afternoon people can customize their conference experience and choose their smaller breakout with one of six insightful authors/subjects.  There is something for everyone (even empyt nesters!) so check it out.  You can find out more at www.SPA2010.com.

Lancaster Roots 300 Celebration continues June 7 with the Celebration of the Martyr’s Mirror and its importance to Lancaster’s First Settlers, 7pm at Christian Aid Ministries center in Ephrata.  2010 marks the 350th anniversary of publication of the Martyrs Mirror, influential Dutch book of Anabaptist martyr stories.  For information visit www.LancasterRoots300.org.

May 7 - Field Trip: Original 1710 Lancaster Settlement Tour.  This half-day tour explores the earliest homesteads and meetinghouses, between Strasburg and Willow Street, of the first permanent European settlers in Lancaster.  For more information www.LancasterRoots300.org.

May 7 - Field Trip: Native Americans in the Lower Susquehanna Valley.  Expertly guided tour of significant local Indian sites, including lunch at a historic inn.  The tour is part of Lancaster Roots 300 Celebration.  For more information check out www.LancasterRoots300.org.

May 6 - Field Trip:  The 1710 Immigrant Route from Port to Paradise.   As part of the Lancaster Roots 300 Celebration, a tour following immigrant routes to and from Philadelphia is being offered.  The Tour begins and ends at the 1719 Hans Herr House with guided narration and stops at several 18th century sites; includes a walking tour and colonial lunch at historic tavern in “Old Town” Philadelphia.  For more information go to www.LancasterRoots300.org.

April 25 - Many Voices Yet One Voice: Program of Music & Drama, 3pm at Theater of the Seventh Sister.    Scenes will be performed from their Lancaster historical drama, “Seed of a Nation,” which incorporates stories of Native Americans, Mennonites, Quakers, African Americans and Scots Irish.  Lancaster Mennonite High School’s Campus Chorale will also be participating.  This is another Lancaster Roots 300 event.  For more information go to www.LancasterRoots300.org.
