Let us therefore come boldly before the throne of grace so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Throne of Grace was created as a list of weekly prayer and fasting concerns that apply specifically to the spiritual and practical of our region. Through this initiative, prayer will continually ascend from congregations, ministries, prayer groups, homes and individuals from the date of the National Day of Prayer 2003 (May 1, 2003) to the National Day of Prayer 2004 (May 6, 2004).

MAY 4-10
Our County Blanketed in Prayer
Corporate: Ask God to establish 24-hour-a-day prayer for our region. Pray for leaders to be raised up to pioneer this effort and for intercessors to be released to minister before the Lord day and night. Pray that united corporate worship, in spirit and in truth, will come forth continuously from God’s people.
Personal Commitment: “I will begin praying for our region every (day of week) _____________ at (time) ________________.”

A Church Awake
Corporate: Pray against apathy, complacency and “lukewarmness” in the Church of Jesus Christ. Ask God to wake us up and give us a zeal for His will and a passion for eternal things.
Personal Commitment: “I will return to my first love. I will consider ‘from where I have fallen’ in my zeal for your will and presence. By your grace, God, and in your mercy, I will ‘repent and do the first works’.”

Comfort for Those Who Mourn
Corporate: Pray for all those who have lost loved ones in battle (recently or in wars past). Ask the Father of compassion and God of all comfort to minister healing to these families.

Corporate: Pray that the “Bride of Christ”, the Church, will develop a yearning for deep intimacy with her Lord and Savior. Pray that our souls would long for God as the thirsty “deer pants for water.”

Corporate: Pray that we will be excellent servants and faithful stewards in every situation and in every relationship the Lord has given us (families, friends, neighborhoods, workplaces, and congregations).

Our Schools
